Perhaps my description is a bit melodramatic. Actually, I am going to get my haircut. It has been a good while since my last haircut. There is a lot of hair up there to cut. I warned the lady that does my hair to bring her heavy duty clippers, or maybe her hedge trimmer. My missus and I have had a productive Saturday morning. We cleaned up some stuff in the garage and back yard and made a dump run. After a quick cleanup we went out to breakfast at our favorite diner. Then it was off to the RV store to pick up some needed, and some random, items for the camper. My missus had a gift certificate she won at the February RV show that was burning a hole in her pocket. Now, it is almost time for me to go and get clipped. When I return I will not be the same man I am now. How is your Saturday going so far? P.S. The guy in the picture isn't me, but he could be, if he were a little better looking.

You make going to the barber sound like a visit to the therapist!

In a way it is, only I'm the therapist and the lady who cuts my hair does all the talking while I offer assurances and advice.

That guy would fit right in here in Manitou. Of course, even better if he had dreads.

I've had the beard, and I've had the hair, but not both at the same time. I keep trying to let my hair grow long. Never works. It gets to be more trouble than it's worth and I get it cut short again.

@DWDavis - Mine hasn't grown back the same way since I got out of the Army. So I keep it short.

@teamfreak16 I've been out of the Army 30 years and every time I try to let it grow long I give up and cut it short again.

Ah, doing some spring pruning? Today has not quite started yet for us as it's 10am. Hubby is sick and my daughter has middle school homework to finish.

@DWDavis That's actually more pruning per year than me . . . I might go get my hair done once a year ! My daughter had to do a book report to do this weekend - she says she's finished with it now. And Hubby's just kickin' it in the bedroom today.

Spring pruning describes it very well. I am not one of those who gets his haircut very often. Maybe 5 or 6 times a year. I hope your husband feels better soon. What type of homework is your daughter working on?

My hair wasn't quite that long, but it was past my collar and over my ears. I haven't let it get so long in years. My favorite breakfast at the diner is the hobo plate. This is a plate of scrambled eggs with ground sausage mixed in it, a heaping helping of home fried potatoes, and a fresh baked biscuit. It is simple, yet tasty and filling.

@AbbyGreenhill My wife and I get ours cut by the same lady, an old friend of ours. One time I had her cut it really short and my wife was not happy. She told our friend how short she was allowed to cut it after that.

lol you will feel so much better once you get some of that hair chopped off if it is as bad as you make it sound lol Just got back from grocery shopping. Spent way more then I planned too but isn't that always the way. Got everything put away and now I am going good to have lunch and maybe so a bit of cleaning before I relax for the evening and watch some hockey.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my head. I wrote a follow up post about it. I'd say you've had a productive morning.

Mine has been restful so far but I intend to put the grass on the chopping block.

My wife chopped the grass this morning here at our place. With my hip, etc... I am not allowed to push the mower, even though it is self-propelled. I'm okay with it, though. My missus actually likes mowing.

Pretty darn quiet around here but the sun is shinning and all is right with the world. I may go take a walk and use my new zoom lens, well it's not new I got it a year ago but I didn't use it correctly, had to wait for my son to show me how

I'm due for a haircut also, my Mr. Jolly says 'NO WAY!' It's down to my waist, which takes a lot of upkeep. I don't bother very much with it, except to wash it regularly and comb the snarls out.
