Sunny Cycle Training

This year I have been thinking of doing some cycle touring. For the last couple of months I have been gathering the necessary kit and having hours of fun plotting routes on maps and finding places that desperately need me visiting.
The one thing I have been neglecting is actually improving my, rather low, fitness. A few miles of pedalling every now and again 'ain't gonna' cut it.'
As today was gorgeous I set out for mix of road, cross country and quiet road. I didn't want to overdo it and covered nearly 14 miles, slightly less than a third of what I'd like to be covering, daily, on a tour. A little way to go, me thinks!
This loop through Horton village, one time home of poet John Milton, was a favourite of mine and my usual route to Windsor. I shall be seeing a lot more of it, in future.
The video is an edit of the quieter bits near Heathrow.

I think you are wise to work up to your total mile goal slowly. The video was cool, I got to see what you did

@Ronrybs Oh dear, part of your ride gets quite loud, I take it?

@FayeHazel I pass under the Heathrow lanes, but having worked on airfields I am quite used to the sound

That sounds like fun. Also, I discovered that town of Yapon is actually a village named Yapton , near Chichester. Maybe you might cycle there one day and tell me all about where my ancestors came from

14 miles is still a pretty good ride for so early in the season. Good luck with the training!

@teamfreak16 Save the old strength, as I'd like to get to town and try the new protected cycle way. I've haven't pedalled in London for about 4 years
