I just finished reading a terrific little news piece about a cat who found it's way home after four years of being gone. It turns out that a little brown tabby went missing in Watsonville, California way back in August 2014. Almost four years later she suddenly appears in the southwestern area of Canada. Nobody seems to know where she has been for the last almost four years but it has been said that BooBoo is in terrific shape. As a matter of fact she weighs more now than when she went missing. Her owner thinks she might have been pulling one of her little tricks of hopping into strangers cars and the person didn't want to abandon her so they took care of her. Somehow she ended up in the Humane Society, they found that she had a microchip and got in touch with her owner. She will be taken to Buffalo, NY then across country to her owner in California. Lucky cat isn't she?

Meow from Huckleberry the Cat. I would have a lot of ruffled fur if that happened to me! I'm not adventurous at all. My mama says I'm a scaredy-cat. Sincerely, Huckleberry the Cat, Kitty Blogger

Better to be a scaredy-cat than a lost cat. Huckleberry, I am sure your Mama would miss you if you wandered away.

@OldRoadsOnceTraveled Huckleberry, I used to have a cat named Smokey that we started calling Psycho after a mo9nth or so of him moving in. His idea of redesigning window treatments was to tear them down. I hope yours is a whole lot more tame.

@HazySue I'm not really into the outside world. I'd rather just stay in and sleep on the couch. Sincerely, Huckleberry the Sleep Expert and Part-time Window Treatment Redesigner

@HazySue It is mandatory here and I think it's a good thing, so you can recover your pets if they get lost.

It doesn't turn out as good usually. It sure pays to have your pet micro chipped.

It was fortunate. They would have never found out where she came from if she hadn't had one.

She was lucky. It seems to me that she must have had to use up a few of her 9 lives during her adventure.

@HazySue I can imagine. I had a cat return after a month and I was ecstatic! He just walked into the yard dusty and skinny.

What a great story. If only she could talk she would have lots of stories to tell. I am so glad she will be reunited with her owners soon.
