Good Morning!

Here it is the first full week of April. Josh actually made it out to the bus. Nearly gave his mother and I conniption fits however. He loves to wait until the very last minute and then blames his mom for not waking him up sooner. Always plays the blame game. She'd been trying to get him up since 5a. and he doesn't get up until 6:14a. or so when he has to be out there by 6:16a. at the very latest. Grocery day today so we will have something to eat in the house. That will be nice. I don't know how we do it but usually by the third week the cupboards are looking very bare. I have talked to my daughter and I hope she realizes now that she needs to buy more. She has a learning disability so it takes a while for these things to get through to her. Hope you are all having a nice beginning to a new week.

having 5 adults and 2 babies in the house it seems like there is constant store running. i keep trying to get daughter to tell everyone, going to the store, if we need something speak up. ! but it seems no one remembers to look through things but myself to see what we really need ahead of time. and i can't always remember everything. i put a list on the fridge, then daughter or who ever goes forgets the list

@bunnybon7 .....That's right. You've said it all. I get bored I eat. I am happy I eat. I am depressed and I eat. So eating is important to me. How do these people in the know supposedly figure our needs out anyway?

I start sometime during the previous month making a list of things to get. Then my daughter and I go over it before she goes to the store the next month for groceries. It works pretty well but, still all those groceries never seem to last us all month.

@celticeagle i believe it. its because we don't have a lot of interesting things to do in our life so we tend to eat more and a lot of different things. also we never know how long any particular staple will last and fixed income amounts don;t often actually give us enough for all we need to consume. the people that make up these budgets don't seem to realize the true cost of the right amount of food we need.

Do you get all your supplies for the month all at once? I tend to go every few days.

We get the most groceries once a month. I wish we could do it twice a month but we don't have the money. Every few days just costs more taxes so I like to get as much as possible one time through.

@celticeagle that is the problem. we should be able to get a certain amount 2 or 3 times a month and they need to figure it by what each individual eats.in their own house. i bet then they would realize they haven't been figuring enough. i have a friend that only gets 800 on her social security check yet they give her 16 bucks food stamp allowance. who the heck can live on that? and she cooks food, never goes out or eat fast food unless her bf takes her. she would likely starve if not for friends and her bf. and the food banks
