The bugs took over....

.....the mudbugs, the crawfish - whatever you want to call them. From the smell of them prior to boiling to the strong smell of the seasonings they were cooked in, my kitchen may never be the same! Now I know why crawfish boils are done outside!
We found 13 dead ones and I remembered reading that if we get dead product to let the company know. I sent a message telling that that out of the 10 pounds, 13 were dead. I received a message not long after that saying I did the right thing by telling them.
The next message from them stated that I would receive a 10% refund. The refund has already been put through. That's good customer service and deserves to be recognized.
My husband ate about a pound (or more) and said they were the best crawfish he ever had. Mission accomplished!
Photo is mine and that is only half of the 10 pounds.

@AbbyGreenhill I have to say that also Amazon is a serious company, I have been promptly refunded for a watch that I received not working. They did not even ask to send them back.

@marguicha Yes, we had to do the same thing - but I had to use tongs as these critters bite!

When I was growing up at my grandmother's place we had a ditch running back behind the house. Kids were up there all the time and I couldn't figure out what they were trying to catch. One day I asked one of them and he showed me. Crawfish. They could catch a lot of them. I never tried any.
Yes, good customer service. So there are still some businesses that have that? That's good.

At our last house we had a creek running thru and not far from the creek were little mounds of dirt and we had no clue what they were - they had crawyfish in them.

@celticeagle Very. A few years ago we were in a small town in the Smoky's and my husband was fishing, he caught a crawfish - he almost fell over laughing.

We don't cook crawfish. My brother makes a great shrimp boil.

My Cajun grandmother used to make them in a brown gravy over rice. I love them that way.

That was good service. Glad the rest were tasty. I get confused by the crawfish/crayfish names. Over here those (like small lobsters) are crayfish, and crawfish are the big things with long antennae but no big claws

That is really good customer services. At my hometown and college town, we call them crawdads but I feel like that is the very country name for them which makes sense because I live in a country town and my college is in a very country mountain town and I have never eaten them but I wouldn't mind trying them. We have quite a few crawfish farms around my hometown. Wildlife students at my college catch them wild in the river all the time for some of the animals at the rehab center. We watched the white squirrel at the center eat a crawfish and he rips their heads off and just goes to town on them. He loves them.
