Unsung Heros: Nurses

Another unsung hero comes to us in the role of "nurse". I know the specialist docs get a lot of more credit and most of that well deserved too. However it is the nurse who is around to care for the patient, they record changes in health, to make suggestions to the higher ups who may or may not enjoy their input and it is the nurse who must deal patiently and kindly with the patient who may or may not be in their right mind.
I think back on my dad when he was ailing - already a high strung individual, when my dad is ailing he is simply not himself and gets quite belligerent to the nurses who - must treat him with dignity - all in their day's work.
I bring you this great song that at last shares a name with the topic of this post:

Yes many good nurse never get the appreciation they deserve due to unhappy patients overall. Problem now is just having to deal with the Health Care professional who don't care and expect you to obey the it every whim with no questions ever asked.

That's unfortunate. I have heard that some of the docs don't want to listen to the nurses because they have bigger status. But it seems strange because the nurse deals directly with the patient.

I think nurses and health care should get special treatment at places -- they fill a big need.

As with any profession, there are good and bad nurses.
