Glad I checked on that

We have been wondering about our tax returns. We THOUGHT we e filed them a month ago. Hubby did not complete the whole submitting step and e-file. Glad I checked, because based on my proofing, this whole thing is way wrong, and it includes numbers we have no idea where they came from. Scary thought. Hubby always tries to find these fancy deductions. . . and that is what has messed us up. He will try again Friday, with a very basic form. I sure would not want to have been audited, and if we had waited too long we would have had filing penalties. Nothing is certain except death and taxes.

@GardenGerty defaulted school loans, I dont make remotely enough to pay the 500 a month they want. I get FT work, I am going to offer them like 150-200 a month.

He will have it done tomorrow night. It will probably only take an hour, but yes, that is why I am glad I checked online.

So true, you cannot escape taxes, this is the time of the year I hate most, just because it's tax forms time.

Glad you caught that just in time. To be honest I haven't filed tax forms for years...since I retired. There is never a need, urgency or awareness here. Apart form a bar licence, my brother's family and myself pay no taxes. There is no taxes on land either...yet. With the new Government that may change. So I am very surprised at how many people say they have to do taxes. Were just ignore it.
