To visit a celebrity's grave or not?

I have been reading up on where many of the departed stars of stage and screen have been buried and multiple times on various websites the question comes up as to if it is a sign of respect to visit the departed star's grave, or if it is disrespectful? I thought the question was kind of controversial, and I have read a lot of different answers on various message boards and websites, but I thought it would be cool to see what you all think? I think that as long as it is done respecfully and you respect that you are at the grave of someone, there isn't anything wrong with it.

I visited Elvis's grave. I was so tearful because I loved him so much.

If they were worried about people visiting the graves of celebrities wouldn't they just bury them in secret or private places? If I'm going to visit the grave of someone I never knew personally then I think I'd visit the graves of all those forgotten people ... the headstones that are falling down and the weeds that hide the faded words.

Agree. Its just like going to a "normal" persons grave.

I have been to a number of celebrity graves. It's not a hobby but a case that Pere Lachaise and other Paris cemeteries are tourist spots and sometimes I have accompanied those wanting to see them. Billy the Kid's grave in New Mexico is a tourist thing. Some presidents are buried at their Presidential libraries so you see those.

I don't know the celebrity personally so I wouldn't
