I told my wife I'm going to have to take the girls out to the park this weekend if the weather is decent because I think they would get a kick out of these birds. The thing that surprises me about them is how relatively tame they are compared to the herons I normally see later in the year. As long as you keep a reasonable distance, they just stand around and ignore you.
