It's getting hot

Oh my, it's already getting just a little hot around here but at least it isn't muggy. We'll be in the 90s by next week but luckily the humidity will most likely be low, there's no hint of any possible rain anytime soon. I think I need to get out and do a few more rain dances, we really could use some more rain. What part of the next few weeks are you looking forward to? Is it still cold where you are? I can hear all the birds chirping outside, many are coaching their babies about flight already. Are the birds in your area already rearing young? That photo above is one of my favorites, if you look closely you can see Ally's smile and of course Boobears is unmistakable.

It's warming up....some of the last weeks rain has dried up and it's possible to begin some of the hardwork. My daffodil is about to bloom. My hyacinths are blooming. I've been getting my walk in...I made it 5 kilometres this morning in just over 50 minutes.

Not bad. Is your terrain fairly level?

@rebelann if I go into town I can get in a couple of decent ups and downs. This morning I had a long gradual up, followed by the same down. I'm trying to decide where I can go so that I can increase the intensity maybe once a week without having to drive too far.....gas prices jumped $0.15 a litre this week. (That's more than 50 cents a gallon.)

Being on level ground is not bad for walking @Morleyhunt I wish it didn't get so hot here, walking in the heat or wind is not pleasant but I do go in and out often so that makes up for not getting your kind of walk in.

Our weather is flip flopping a bit. This week we are getting rain and cooler temps. Last week high of 86 and very humid.

@rebelann It has flooded here in NC once again. We had a constant and steady to downpour rain for 3 days straight.

Humidity makes 86 hard to bare, we've been in the upper 80s to low 90s but our humidity has been about 14% give or take. You can send some rain our way, ok? I'm doing my raindances again but it looks like I misdirected it again

This month of April is pretty warm, surely the warmest I remember since I moved here 11 years ago. The birds are building their nests, I hear them chirping early in the morning.

The momma birds are already teaching their first batch of young to fly, they began laying eggs in late February.

Oh wow, @LadyDuck by June many of the birds I see now have migrated farther north to escape the heat.

I'll do a rain dance over here for you. It will continue to get hotter and more humid here. My doctor told me today to start thing about staying inside and out of the heat and humidity.

When I was in my 20s I traveled to Ft Sill OK and boy was that humidity awful @HazySue I couldn't stand it back then so I can only imagine how much worse it would be for me now.

We hope we won't see 90 until August. Last year we survived with most days being in the 80s. Your furry little ones are always cute.

Wow, that's totally different from us, here it's been known to reach the 100s in June and by July 4th its already tapering off to the upper 90s. The spring/summer seasons are the longest here and the winters, if you can call it that, have always been short. Thank you, I'm so glad you like my furmily.

A great photo. I wouldn't like temperatures in the 90s, much too hot for me. Have you got air conditioning?

Thanks @jaboUK I keep thinking about those folks that founded this area a few hundred years ago, they didn't have electricity so how did they stay cope, right?

Thank you. I think it would be harder if you got high temps over there, with the humidity it would be way too muggy. No, my Air conditioner is not in working order but then I seem to have become much more acclimated than most people here so I find ways to hide or shelter myself from any intense heat.

Over here it's in the 60s and the sun's outside. Supposed to be in the high 60s/early 70s tomorrow night. The rest of the weekend looks rainy with t-storms over the Easter holiday weekend. Lovely photo.
