The photo is of me running through a field at Allegany State Park with my bubble wand. I have been know as the “Bubble Lady” for years. My sister and I have been using these bubble sticks while camping. I'm taller so its easier for me to use than my short sister....
But as I edited the photo for this discussion I was awed with the width of my butt in this photo. Holy Cow! This photo was taken when I was around 40 (I think) and it changed the whole story of this photo.
Thankfully in my old age I have lost a lot of weight and I feel great. Going to the YMCA daily certainly helped that. Exercise is amazing.
I know that any photo of my back will be much smaller now but I am going to look for more of these old photos and either tear them up or make a new album of the “Fat Me”...
Do you exercise? And yes walking is exercise too..

It's a great pic and not because of your butt. Love the bubble. I don't sweat the small stuff I am a touch overweight, but still pretty small. I'm 4 foot 10 inches and about 120 pounds. The docs say I'm overweight, ok whatever lol.

I'm 5 foot 6 so a bit taller than you, I am comfortable in my own skin and don't worry about weight anymore, I'm in my 70's now, I eat much less than i did when younger and my doctors are happy with my weight now and so am I.

I have gotten really out of shape. Limited in my outing and a stress eater....not a good combination. Now I'm walking and trying to lose some of the excess weight. Maybe I'll consider a monthly update...it certainly won't be daily, or even weekly. I think I'm too private for that.
The bubbles are a lot of fun.

@PainsOnSlate I have a very similar life with being overweight when young and losing it with Weight Watchers and working for them too for awhile. When I got pregnant with my son (my 4th child) I gained it all back and have been less than successful in losing it all again. I gain and lose like s yoyo. We don't have a Y nearby so I probably need to take up walking like @morleyhunt to get myself healthier. The older I get the harder it is (I just turned 70)

@Morleyhunt @Marilynda1225 I fought weight my whole almost adult life, as a teen I thought I was fat but I wasn't. Just thinking i was fat kept in my own little prison. When i got into college I realized I was a normal girl. After marriage to my college sweetheart years after we met, my first child started years of being"Fat"...really fat...baby fat that would not go away. Eventually i joined Weight Watchers and even worked for them for a long time until I moved to Canada and I couldn't work. I was slim and trim with Weight Watchers. Moving to Canada and not being landed, I couldn't work and I gained again but not all the weight I had after my babies. Just in the last 5-6 years after joining the Y (opened in my neighborhood) I have gone daily Monday through Friday and the extra flab has gone away ...most of it....It "aint" easy, It will never be easy for some women like me, but it is worth trying...
I don't want to be a bathing beauty, I just want to be healthy.

@PainsOnSlate I am sure that this is true, I made no real efforts to stay like I am.

I step on the scales at the Y every day and for some reason I have gained 4 pounds, not happy but they will go away, it just scares me when the scales goes up and not down.....

Thanks for the laugh and I have too but not on my rear end, but then its hard to see your backside. I am comfortable in my skin in my old age.
