Signed for an Internship

United States

I am heading back to college today after being home a few days for Easter break. I met with a woman this past Thursday while I was home to discuss my future internship with her. Well we didn't talk long before she was signing the paperwork for my college. She works part time for two nonprofit organizations and I would be working with the Downtown Development Commission for my town. They do a pop up farmer's market and I will be in charge of organizing nutrition/health programs (cooking classes, dental screenings, workout classes, etc.) To hold during the farmer's market. The organization is all about being nutrition and health awareness to low income families in my home town. They are giving me a stipend for my work there over the summer so that is just a nice perk to it since my internships don't pay anything. I am excited about starting to work there on May 8th. The work I will be doing there is similar to what I do at my job at college now so I think I will be able to handle it pretty easy.

Thank you. I am looking forward to starting. I am hoping to learn a lot from this woman and meet some important people that can hopefully help me in the future when I graduate. The woman is even talking about loaning me out to some other companies that work with kids and families so I can get some experience doing other stuff as well.
