It's dead...

Unfortunately, neither the Staples drying machine or being submerged in a bowl of dry rice worked--my camera's gone. 
It served me well--and I still have my old camera, at least, which works well enough (I took the above photo with it) it's just banged up from use and not as "spiffy".
Someday I'll get a newer camera again -- I will just be extra extra sure not to leave it outside in the rain !!
