Marsha's Log: First Yellow Iris To Bloom

This week when I came home from babysitting I seen that my first yellow Iris had bloomed. I love the picture I got of it. I took it from a different perspective than usual. Otherwise, here in Kansas, it's once again turned cold and it's rainy. I've been in and out of the rain a few times today and just can't seem to get warm at all. Furnace on, furnace off, air conditioner on, air conditioner off. I most surely wish that the weather would finally get warm and stay that way!! How are things in your part of the world?

Today it has been a nice day as weather goes. But we were with no water for a great part of the day. The water came a couple of hours ago but I will not throw away the water I saved in pots. I don´t know if the emergency is over.

@marguicha I'm babysitting again on a different day than usual so will have my bath here....after my laundry gets done. Another plus of babysitting here is they have a washer and dryer.

@marsha32 By all means. Yet I will have to take a shower after lunch. I don´t feel happy if I don´t shower every day.

Same kind of weather here, we were happy because the last week of March was warm and beautiful and now it's cold again.

We had another strange winter with some spring like days and that always makes Spring seem to take longer to really be here.

I have bulbs that I still have not planted that should have been planted in early fall. I am really behind.

I took some from my sister in laws old house then have just left them in my van all these months....I wonder if I can even find them and if they can still be planted. She just moved and now it's hitting me that I should have went over and gotten more.

What a beautiful Iris. Mine are at my old house. I missed seeing them bloom. I will have to get some for this house.

I got lucky that the last person to move into my old house is the father of one of my grandchildren so he let me come and dig them all up

Several more of my yellow ones have bloomed and hopefully when I get back to town my black velvet colored ones will have bloomed too.

Its raining and when the sun shines it becomes hot.Thats a beautiful photo...its the season for lilies here too.

rain bring humidity, but I can usually handle that well as long as it's warm
