Why? Maybe I Need To Be A Car Guy.

Something I will probably never understand is a certain group of car aficionado's need to advertise their love for the movie franchise of the Fast and the Furious. I will be honest and say that I am not a car guy, the closest I get is buying the occasional Hot Wheels 1/64 scale mainline car. Last week in the parking lot to the theatre I saw this vehicle with the movie franchise name across its back window. The only thoughts that came to mind were- Why? Are you getting paid to advertise? How do you see out the back window, doesn't it distract you? Is he an over the top, car fad type of guy? Man crushing on Vin Diesel, the Rock or another? Is this the next phase for those little kids who collected the race cars by Hot Wheels or Matchbox and are now grown up and designing their car like a toy cars design? When I got to the theatre entrance, I looked back at the car one last time and saw a man with two kids get into the vehicle. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with the "Fast and the Furious" title across the front with a hat that seemed to say the same, is what i'm guessing. Like I said, I do buy the occasional little Hot Wheels car, but I'm not a gear head. I now wonder if people did the same when Steve McQueen did his car movie, or Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

Oh wow some people are very very dedicated, this reminds me of those people dressed up as Batman to the Batman movies, you just gotta kind of shake you're head and say whatever floats your boat i guess....

I can proudly say that I have never seen one of these films all the way through. I like the colour of that car, but it's a shame about the spoiler and the wordage. In this country the owner would be known a a Chav. :)

@Plethos I *think* we have a spoiler on our car {a Skoda Octavia VRS} but it blends in with the car. Also, it may be a bit more beneficial here in Europe because we're allowed to drive faster than you. :)

ive only seen one of the movies, didnt like it. i hate spoilers on regular street cars, its pointless. speed limits dont allow you to go fast enough to take advantage of its purpose.

@Poppylicious - our roads are straighter and longer and theres a speed limit, yours are probably curvy and short, but allowed to go at any speed. am i somewhat correct in this assesment? because if i am, my country sucks to motorist.

The fast and furious attitude is killing many youngsters. They will be attracted easily towards challenges and many have lost their life in India also.
