Day 233 Proverbs 21:22 Proverbs 21:22 A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and casts down the strength of the confidence thereof. Promises are as numerous as the sand on a seashore. People will boast about what they can do, make promises, and in the end, be nothing but a lot of hot wind. Those people trust in their own abilities, making claims they cannot fulfill. In the end, they make fools of themselves. Solomon said those kinds of people were easily defeated by wisdom, and not any wisdom, but the wisdom that comes from God. A man of wisdom who puts his trust in God will be able to tear apart any boast made by a person who trusts in his own abilities. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (KJV) When you put your trust and confidence in God, you will succeed in everything you do. When you put your trust and confidence in yourself, you will fail. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Make your boast in God and you will be able to do anything. Let’s pray: Father, help me trust in and lean on you and not my own abilities. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 30 April 2017 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I don't promise easily and when I do I try my utmost to fulfill them with God's help.

When we have God why ask others. God is the only one who will always listen to what we have say. God is the only one we can rely on. As said ''even your shadow leaves you in darkness'' but God never will.
