Caviar for Toddlers?

Is this safe for toddlers? I snapped at my husband last night when he tried to give caviar to my baby. We were at a Sushi buffet last night and there were lots of kids eating Sushi and Sashimi but they were like around 4 to 7 years old. My hubby lose it and shouted at me .He thought I was over reacting. I am just scared of food poisoning.

I would have brought baby food for the toddler if I had to take him to the restaurant.

@Iam_jauntyjen That should be more than enough. Why give the child something that might not agree with his stomach?

You cannot be blame for overacting. Of course baby cannot tell when that caviar don't go well in the tummy.

i agree. Her left ear is swollen. The pedia told us that it could be soft tissue infection otherwise it could be allergy.

@Iam_jauntyjen the baby is too tender for such food.

Too much salt is what might be bad plus the risk that the toddler might be allergic.

I think it was normal for you to react like that. Babies stomachs are still very ''fragile'' . we must be cautious

If you were at a sushi buffet I suspect it was not real caviar, that costs about 100$ for 50 grams, anyway no matter which kind of fish eggs they were, I would not give them to a toddler.

I wouldn't trust the food from a buffet for a toddler.

I have shared flying fish roe with my toddler when I've eaten sushi around him, but that's about it. I'm sure your child was in no more danger of food poisoning than the other restaurant patrons, but I understand your worries.
