In Tinglayan Kalinga, there is a natural beauty exist. It is the pride of the local tribes to share the myth story of the “Sleeping Beauty Mountain.” The local tribes from 20 barangays of the province have their own version of the story. Once upon a time, a couple named “Dinayao” and “Binsay” live in Patukan mountain. The couple had lived in the mountain and planning to have their own family, Then, their fate had changed when “Binsay” needs to join the tribal war. “Binsay” had his promises to come back for “Dinayao” after the tribal war. The undying love of “Dinayao” waited for “Binsay” to come back but it never did. She died in despair in Patukan Mountain. The love story ended in a tragic situation. Image Credit: Shavkat

It is nice to view the mountain. I wondered why the local tribes had created such a sad ending of the story.

@Shavkat I guess it's hard to have a happy ending - having a nap while the kids play doesn't quite sound right.

@TiarasOceanView Yes, my friend. That's the reason why I resigned during that time. Tribal wars are so strong in this area. This place is well-known the killing ground for tribal wars. The history of the tribes speaks itself because they are called "head hunters." I was so adventurous, right? I had tried so many risky situations in my life.lol

I'm very sure that the truth was simple but those barangays back in the day exagerrated the whole story! We pinoys makes a lot of fake stories until the truth was found..sadly, that will never happen
