Stuck in safe mode

That's what my computer have been in for the past week. Somehow I'm not able to get unstuck from it. Safe mode is used for trouble-shooting only. I've tried restarting it multiple time and pressed P-R-option and Command on my external keyboard. I was able to get it out of it briefly. But I didn't press the shift button. It's not stuck or anything. But when my computer when to sleep this morning, I couldn't get on log in. When I was able to log in, it was either safe mode or the OS X Utilities page for some reason. So I restarted and rebooted my laptop numerous times and called Apple. I told them about my water spill issue from last fall. After we rebooted it together, it went back to safe mode unfortunately. He suggested to compress air on the laptop keyboard around the area. And if it doesn't work, I might be stuck in safe mode for the time being. I'm fine with it for now, but the flickering screen, it can be a nuisiance. I know my only option is to buy a new one. And it would cost me $1300-1500 to buy a new MacBook Pro. Almost 4 years ago, it cost me $1000 for a new laptop. At paypal, I have a little over $1500 with my Upwork earnings so far. Like my brother told me earlier this year, he wants me to save money to get to $2000. And that would be until toward mid-summer, if I can make more money with Upwork, Mylot, HubPages and Swagbucks combined. I don't have enough in savings to make ends meet. Until then, I would have to grin and bear it with my laptop and hope I can get out of safe mode soon. Unless there's a sale between now and Labor Day, I might get it earlier. And if I have to do it soon, I would have a little over $200 leftover in Paypal. I just hope this partial R&R for Venom goes through, when I send it out next week and then land an pub deal by mid-summer, so I won't have to save money to hire a pro editor this sumnmer. Have you any computer-related issues lately or been in safe mode?

I know the feeling. I believe it's falling apart. I'll be saving my work tomorrow just in case the worst happens later.

@NJChicaa I do at some point this year. I just have to wait for the next sales to come around this summer and make enough money by that time.

Yeah it really does. Me neither. But I had to do my research via my smartphone. Hope it stops misbehaving.

My computer is still being worked on, so I'm on my old computer this month. I'm not sure when the new one will be ready, as it went to HP and hoping to see it again. I am getting to think another new one will end up being the solution.

Same here for me. But it might be a Dell or HP this time around. We'll see. Hope you have good results for your computer.

Oh no this is not good news right now especially with the Venom thing. I hope it rights itself somehow..maybe someone here might have some ideas? My old laptop did that for a while but then righted itself, though it is pretty unusable still.

Yeah I know. Me too with the compressed air. I hope to send it to the agent next Friday afternoon if not earlier. So I'll save my work just in case. I hope so.

Yes but that was back in 2000. Now I turn off my computer when not in use and I even unplug it to save power. I save $10 a month by doing this.

Wow! That's a long time ago. Good idea. I tend to leave my computer on sleep when I go to the gym and church, and shut it down on the weekends to have a fresh reboot.

Why does it have to be that type of laptop? Why not just a good but cheaper one so you can have a new one already?

Well I've been using Macintosh for a long time. I can do a Macbook air which is smaller. Or try another brand.
