She's Alive

My sister that is. Although her driving almost got us both killed; TWICE. She finally showed up Saturday about 2pm and at 4:30 we decided to go to dinner. As we pulled off my road onto a main road, she didn't bother to look to her left. The car that was coming had to swerve to miss us and my sister (for some reason) pulled the steering wheel to the left. The guy almost side-swiped us.
Then with 30 seconds, she was talking and looking at me and apparently if she does that, her hand on the steering wheel pulled left and we almost hit a pick up truck head on. Are you kidding me??!!!!!!
She also has a lead foot so as we're getting ready to pass the court house where the speed limit is 30mph, she's doing 45. She does that every, single, time she comes here.
My sister is suppose to wear a hearing aid; but does she???? Heck no, so I have to repeat myself constantly and when the TV is on, she has it cranked up to a high volume and then I have to YELL instead of just talk.
When we finally went to bed at 1:30am, I told her I was going to wake up when my body said too. Do you think that happened? Nope. When she got up at 7:30, she turned on the TV and had it cranked up so loud that it woke me up. I was soooooo ticked off.
She didn't leave until Sunday night at 7:30. I cannot begin to tell you how physically and mentally pooped that I am today. Thankfully it will be another 7 months before she shows up again.

Plain and simple, I really think she should not be driving on the road at all.

Your sister sounds that she does as she pleases..yes you are blessed you were not hit.
My one sister who I no longer have to do with, is also a mad lead foot and cares for no one. Not saying your sister does that, but mine does.
Did you get your air fixed yet?
And your daughter did she ever come Nanette?

She's had so many speeding tickets that you would think she'd learn her lesson @TiarasOceanView . Got the wire reattached on the AC unit and it seems to be okay; for now. My daughter will be coming at the end of this month.

Why don“t you drive when she is visiting? It seems that you have fun with her in spite of it all.

I use my car to haul hay for my donkeys, so mine is a mess. My sister wouldn't even consider getting into mine. Hers is a stick shift and I haven't driven one of those in 40 years; besides, she wouldn't let me get behind the wheel. She's very finicky about that.

@MALUSE She can choose between calling it quits or daring to go with her. If she rides with her sister in spite of everything it is because she has fun and loves her.

I would suggest you don't ever go driving with your sister again and pray for her that she is careful.

I know, right? She scared the heck out of me. I think she's one of those that can't walk and chew gum at the same time; let alone drive and talk at the same time @RasmaSandra . Since she had both of her dogs with her on this trip, I was worried they'd be killed too by the time she got home.
