If you don't ask, you can't get...

Don't be afraid to ask.
A few months ago I mail ordered a pair of tights. When I got them I could tell they weren't what I wanted, so I sent them back.
I had charged them on the store's credit. They were $22.
In the meantime I received a bill for said leggings, which I had returned. I ignored the bill, thinking I was safe because the only item on there, had been returned.
The next bill I got said I owed $45.
What had happened was that they removed the $22 for the returned tights - however they had racked up $45 in late fees, re stock fees, this and that misc.
I was ticked off, but I was going to pay it. Until the thought came to me - just ask. So I called customer service, explained my plight, and they removed most of the bill. I had to pay $15 which is still a lot for something I didn't keep, but at least it's a lot cheaper than $45 for something I didn't keep.

@FayeHazel It's the same now buying tickets for concerts etc. They charge you if you don't pick up the tickets - or maybe it's the other way around but either way, they have now worked in an extra charge.

Oh so slick, but I suppose that's why they are the ones with the big bucks. Ha!

Wow, they must have written down such charges in very small print.
if they have put in bold and before you pay the payment for the online purchase, most people will think carefully before they order.
it will reduce on the backend work of restocking or whatever.

Coming from the Philippines, 15$ is still a LOT for me
and if that were to happen to me I may have to look elsewhere that doesn't cost you their incompetence..I mean you didn't get the right item and they still made you pay for it.

So true. To be honest the $15 is a lot to me, too. Better than $45 for something I didn't get to keep though.

Was the 15 because of late fees and such? At least you didn't have to pay a ridiculous amount. It is good that you asked.

Yeah! I guess there was a $7 restock fee which I think is a little bogus, but... whatever.. and then $8 late fee... at least cheaper than $45 but still
