Trigger Finger

Well the diagnosis is in - I have right hand middle finger "trigger finger"
"Trigger finger happens when tendons in the finger become inflamed.Prolonged irritation of the tendon sheath can produce scarring and thickening that impede the tendon's motion. When this happens, bending the finger or thumb can pull the inflamed tendon through a narrowed tendon sheath, making it snap or pop."
After carrying a suitcase up stairs and down stairs and along long hotel corridors it seems my poor right hand middle finger has suffered the brunt.
Luckily it is treatable with a few weeks of anti-inflammatory and rest, but the bad part of it all, its my bowling hand.
Now who would have thought that a great holiday of serious action could leave me with a 'trigger finger' of all things?
Strange but true!
Well lets look on the brighter side of things and view one of my beautiful photos taken of the "Shifting sands" in the Port Elizabeth region called Woody Cape. I had to walk quite a distance to get to this point, but both the view over the sea and of the dunes was amazing. These stretches of sand dunes are at parts 3km wide and move all the time.

That is a fantastic picture. At first I thought it was snow. It is a stunning view. I hope you get your finger back into full swing ASAP. It is most annoying I bet. Still its one way of getting out of the chores!
No washing up, no preparing dinner, No washing or ironing, I am sure your daughter will nurse you back to health by taking the load off your shoulders! Get better soon that is not a request by the way! It's an order!

ha ha ha - its just a finger, but I am nursing it will, the typing is difficult with a strap but it does help with the tendon that keeps popping. I cannot sleep so I decided to come and catch up with everyone while the family are in dreamland. Hello Gary - will do

@Inlemay What better way to spend an hour or two with friends eh! Catching up on all the ups and downs. A nice cup of coffee a few reads and comments and before you know it you will be tired. Sweet dreams when they do eventually come!
