Let the games begin!

It is that time of year here in my neck of the woods. Flowers are blooming, grass is growing, baby birds are born and the time has come to uncover the pool.
There will be one happy lab later today when she realizes that the pool is no longer covered, Our neighbor will help my husband remove the cover, fold it up and put it away. I helped the first two years, but let me tell you, that cover is very heavy duty. It is a much easier job for two men, believe me!
I will happily stand inside out of the way and watch. Then once my husband does a few things I figure we'll be on our way to the pool store for water testing and chemicals.
Once the water is crystal clear you are all welcome to come for a swim!

It's chilly here yet again today and I had to turn the heat on when I got up this morning. I want the warm weather so badly. If it doesn't happen soon I am going to take a trip to Alabama to see my brother.

It was 72 early morning, I didn't check later in the day - but once the cover is off it warms quickly.

She was ready when the cover came off...we held off until my husband vacuumed the shallow end - she is one happy lab!

Must be a lot warmer where you are than here. We started the day off at 45 degrees and it's slowly climbing but not warm enough to even think about swimming. It's nice that you can sit back and watch the men do all the work and then enjoy the fruits of their labor

That's why we live down here much warmer!! I don't intend to enjoy the pool until the water temp hits at least 76...78 would be better. I stuck one toe in and screamed.

It took all of 8 minutes to uncover my husband is vac. now...Ruby might swim later.

He has to drag it into the storage room, but he'll do that tomorrow. I cut grass while he let the robot vac pick up some of the yuck but a lot of regular vac. tomorrow. She had a good time, so it's all worth it.
