This might be easier than I thought

Today was supposedly my first day at my internship and it was a meeting with my supervisor. I had to be there at 11 and I thought it would be at least a few hours before I was allowed to leave. Well at 11:18 am I was leaving the foundation. I basically got all dressed for her to tell me that I could do the majority of the work from home in my pajamas. She said all I have to do is contact the people that she emails me and set up a face to face meeting with them to discuss them volunteering someone to do a program from 11 am - 1 pm on Fridays. I would have to be at the farmer's market when the event is going on and pass out/hanging up flyers a day or two before the farmer's markets to local businesses and people.
My supervisor did set me up with the YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, & Gang-Free in my town to volunteer with them for one day a week so I can make sure that I get my minimum of 80 hours for my internship requirements.
So far I will be volunteering at Gang-Free on Tuesday evenings from 3 pm - 6:30 pm. I emailed the man back from the YMCA giving him some more information about myself and what I am looking to do in the future and seeing if he has anything available for me on the days I have open. I am calling the woman from the Boys & Girls club tomorrow morning to ask her the same.
So far I will be working Thursdays passing out flyers for the farmer's markets, Fridays at the farmer's markets, making calls and meetings randomly during the week for the farmer's markets programs. Tuesday evenings will be spent at the Gang-Free organization. That leaves Monday, Wednesday, and Tuesday mornings for the other two organizations and/or a weekend day for the YMCA.
I am thinking that this internship won't be as hard as I thought it would be. Just going to be a little busy but once I get started and in the swing of things it'll be a lot easier and less stressful.

My girlfriend volunteered at our local Boys & Girls Club for credit for one of her classes at the University of Florida. It was an eye-opener for her, as she comes from a privileged background and was not used to seeing such economically disadvantaged children. But she has a heart of gold and was so good working with the kids. She made many friends with the kids there that she still keeps in touch with.

These are kids I haven't spent my entire life around. I went to Gang-free on Tuesdays and when my supervisor asked how I liked it or if they scared me away I told her that is was just like sitting back in a middle school classroom. I spent 12 years in our public school system and all they are doing is moving troubled kids from one place to another place.
