I had to go into town for a doctor appointment today. Afterwards we went to eat and then I went to Wal Mart.. This person,(could not tell if it was a man or woman) on a motorized shopping cart came [ ] this close to running over me. Texting and driving, in a crowded store. Not a very nice thing to do at all.

Texting and driving a motorised shopping cart? Can't they put their rotten phones away for a few minutes?

I'm trying @GardenGerty but it's so hot and arid here a lot of veggies won't grow unless I find a way to create a greenhouse, dang those things are spensive.

@rebelann I know, it is hot and dry there. I was mostly joking. I have seen where people take a chain link dog run, arch cattle panels over the top and put plastic or acrylic inside the dog run fence and plastic sheeting over the top. . . seems to make a good green house.

Wow that is way dangerous to do that in a crowded store. They should be banned.

Wish people would put their phones in their pockets or sit still while using them. I also saw a guy with his head down walking around glued to his phone.

very dangerous and inconsiderate..especially in a confined space like a store...I'm glad you nor anyone else was hurt... I suppose it would be too much to hope that the staff would have challenged them about their driving...

No, they never do anything like that or post safety rules, either.

Nope. There are many times when they should not be texting.

@GardenGerty I don't mind them so much, but they could move into a larger area of the store to catch up on old friends. We had a group of people last year visit for well over an hour and they took up most of the space at the end of the register. They should have spread out a bit better to allow people through. Or, better yet met elsewhere, but the probably didn't realize ahead of time they'd be talking so long.

Those people riding/driving those motorized carts need to pay attention.

Oh, and the worst part is that this person seemed to be in their thirties. I could not even pass it off as an old person being absent minded.

We have those carts in our store and thankfully, I've not seen that taking place as yet, although my husband is a greeter and maybe he has. I can't believe someone wouldn't at least stop their carts to text. It's not like those carts stay on a straight and narrow path on their own anyway.

Good old Wal Mart. I wish folks were more with it but often they're not. I'm sorry that happened to you.
