I know many people are mad over the high rated Last Man Standing with Tim Allen being canceled after airing 6 seasons with high ratings on Friday Nights at 8:00 pm. The show is owned by FOX, so the renewal was up to that network. Its one reason I get frustrated when shows air on networks that don't own them. I don't know anything about contracts on the show, so don't know, if another network will consider the show or if Tim Allen wanted to move on now.

It was canceled because of Tim Allen's high salary and license fees. ABC didn't want to pay the high fee to FOX any longer and now we will have to see what FOX does because they will lose money because the show was a hit when canceled.

@Courtlynn Its not the first show to be aired on a network that doesn't own it and won't be the last. Personally, I think the actors are ready to move on, as Tim Allen is getting ready for a movie role. Also has been busy doing stand up comedy and was in Las Vegas not long ago.

@Fishmomma why is it a fox show but on abc to begin with? Why not have it on fox? I loved the show and they need to not end it yet

The show was expensive and ABC is trying to cut their costs and they don't own the show. Now its up to FOX and don't know, if they will find another network. I don't know why FOX isn't airing the show unless they think it won't do well on FOX.

@Nawsheen I hope the actors say something about this action. Right now, I don't have any more information, so don't know, if the actors were in favor of this decision. Shows have ended in the past like Everybody Loves Raymond was a huge hit and the actors wanted to move on to other roles. Every network has its own way of ending shows and not all get a great ending like Everybody Loves Raymond.

@Fishmomma if it is a good show and has many viewers then i cant understand why FOX is refusing to diffuse it

I think it was the cost of the actors on the show. I'm hoping another network will consider this one.

The show last aired in March on ABC. The 130 episodes are available and I'm planning to watch them this summer.
