Tired doesn't even begin to explain it

Last Friday, I called the housing authority to request installation of my air conditioner. She said she would put in the work order and could not give a day or time when it would happen. Okay. I know the guys come in early so I decided I need to get up extra early just in case they come pounding on the door. I need to be dressed and my sick cat needs to be out of harm's way.
I've gotten up extra early every day this week. They haven't come yet. I keep looking for some notice they *might* slip under my door to give me an idea of when they'll come, but there's none of that, either. And while I'm sleeping better than I have in years, all of this getting up extra early and sitting and waiting has worn me down.
This morning, I got up, fed my cat and gave her medication, watched The Mass on TV and then got dressed and grabbed a blanket. I got back on the bed and slept for another couple of hours. Noises outside kept waking me up, but the alarm got me up when I felt I needed to be back up. Now it's almost 3pm and I'm fighting sleep again. They are obviously not coming today.
Tomorrow would be a good time for them to come since I'll be at the animal hospital with my cat. So here's hoping they show up. I'd love to have this done and finished already!

I get what you are saying Claudia.
When we are waiting for someone to come fix things, and they don't give you a day or time, you can't help but be anxious as well for their time of arrival.
I wish they would give you a day/time so you didn't have to keep getting up.
It is the same here with this place.
They may come or they may not, and then I have to call the office again..so annoying though.
No wonder you tired.
Sorry kitty is sick.

That would be a quick response if you are expecting it done in less than a week. I would have thought they should tell you when they were coming otherwise you are being kept prisoner in your home waiting for them!

Well they are in the building all the time and when I look at the building from outside, it looks like most everyone already has their air conditioners installed. So I really thought they would have come faster than this. But they must be very busy.

Yes it is terrible waiting around for someone to come to your apartment. You just want them to come and get it over with. Waiting around is no fun at all.

yes and the office gets very aggravated if you call and ask about it, so I just keep to myself
