Finished and Printed

I just finished the first edit and revision for Freedom's Cry. I am printing it at the moment and notified my friend via Facebook that it is ready for her to pick up.
It has been a long journey to this point and is now, temporarily out of my hands as my friend proofs it. I will also be sending a PDF to my editors so they can see the manuscript. They know it isn't the final, but it will help get an idea of the picture for the book.
I will get it back in my hands as soon as my friend is finished with it and go over any suggestions she has. That will be the final proof for the manuscript until I get it back from my editors when I proof the layout and make certain everything is as it should be.
Still a ways to go before it is ready to publish, but I'm one step closer.
As of right now Freedom's Cry is 504 pages and 192,806 words. I did realize after it started printing that I forgot the title for the last chapter. I'll take care of that as soon as it's finished printing and print up those pages, which also includes the chapter heading in the contents page.
That is what I've been doing today besides taking time to do laundry.
How is your day? Thanks for reading.

Yes it is. I knew it would top Scarred for pages and word count. It's just that kind of story.

@DianneN I am. I'm very encouraged by what my friend has already said about the book. No grammatical or typo errors of any kind yet.
I've worked on two different books, both need to be finished. I think I know which book I'll work on next to get ready for publishing - it's another historical fiction.

Thank you so much. I almost don't know what to do with myself, but you should know me by now. I have more than one book project to work on. I can finish writing one or get a finished one ready to publish next. I'll know soon which direction the wind will go. There's always a new book to write or work on.

I am going to tidy the house because the kids and grand-dogs will arrive, I have a dozen slate on the go and will finish them today too. At least that is what I want to do... if it gets done I will be surprised. Congratulations on the book, when you get it published let us know.

It's historical fiction - the last in a four book series - Colonial America series. It does make me happy, and yes, it does keep me busy. Now that that project is almost finished, it's time to start thinking about the next book project.
