Another interesting garden feature

As I was saying yesterday, I like nosing in other people’s gardens and when we were out for a walk not long ago in an unfamiliar place this was one feature we couldn’t miss! I don’t know whether she had been constructed for some particular event that we didn’t know about or just for general fun but she was certainly eye-catching! We drove through a whole village in Essex last week that was filled with scarecrows. They even had a scarecrow wedding party - complete with photographer - outside the church.

I've read of some places holding scarecrow festivals, I don't know whether this was connected to something like that because it's not a place I've been to before or since.

I don't think I'd want one in my garden either, I'd prefer something a bit more sophisticated - and anyway I'm not artistic enough to even make a decent scarecrow!
