The Glory of Spring

The joy of seeing, the first buds – on the apple trees. Smelling the earth coming alive, the sun warm upon your face - slowing your pace. It’s spring, glorious spring, days are warmer, longer, people friendlier. Time to lay back, heave a sigh and await the blooming of the lilacs. It’s spring, glorious spring, it makes me want to sing, to dance and jump for joy. Winter was so long and now at last it’s gone, the first flowers have sprung - the scent, the aroma of spring. Our garden will soon look even lovelier when the lilacs burst out into bloom @lovinangelsinstead21 but the weather is still too cool.

@RasmaSandra There is a bit of Lilac outside in the Fields now but not very much as of all the cold weather has taken its toll.

Very nice poem. I love spring when things bloom and the weather is getting nicer out and no more heavy jackets and things.

I wonder if there is anyone on the planet who doesn't like the arrival of tulips?? I have about a dozen blooming in the garden and they are all gorgeous!

I love tulips, they are among my favorite flowers, but I also love the simple red poppies, there are many right now.

I really like those tulips in your garden. My mother had all kinds of tulips in her Garden. Red, blue, yellow and orange.

We have some yellow but mostly red. What is interesting that some of the red tulips have a black center and some a yellow center @jstory07
