Iraq

If you did not know, let me be the first to tell you. Politicians, be they (D) or (R) lie and lie often. The Democrats will not be pulling the troops out of Iraq any sooner than if the Republicans had remained totally in charge. There are important strategic, economic, and political reasons for not bringing the troops home. None of these things changed except a little bit when the Democrats got elected. Democrats are not stupid. When the responsibility for Iraq rests on their shoulders and they evaluate the situation in that light their decision as to troop deployment will be but little different from the Republican. Democrats were only making political talk (polite for lie) when speaking of bringing the troops home right away. I wish all of this was not true, but there it is.
