One reason why my mom is awesome

So, as part of the Mother's Day gifts for mom - I got this little glass ornament with a poem and little glass flower. I intentionally choose the one with the least tear jerker message. Alright and it was happy coincidence that one had the prettiest flower decoration, too.
I choose the least tear-jerker message because if mom cries , I cry and I hate crying.
So when she opened it today she tears up a little and says that she doesn't want to read it all right now because she doesn't want to cry more. And I say "but it's not a tear-jerker" and she says "yes it is".
That is one reason why my mom is awesome. :-)
We did have a nice day today. We went to a very good restaurant which had a huge buffet of delicious food.
Dad was actually doing well other than a little out of it, due to his medicine.
They came over and met my "house guest cat".
I just took a nap and now I think I will walk to the grocery store and buy ice cream. A malt made in the blender is the only thing that sounds sort of good for supper , even though I know it's high calories, everyone needs a treat sometime right? :-)
To all the moms on MyLot I wish you a very happy day and I hope you know that you are treasured every day
That's what I get for writing tired. Edit to add - The message on the ornament says "Everything I know about being awesome, I learned from you". :-)

Lovely message...And true.Glad the day went off well...My mom lives far off...I called up a couple of times...And we talked for long.
The funny bit was my father ringing up to tell me to call mom as it was mother's day...It's not a traditional celebrations here but seems to have caught on...If my parents know about this...They are in their 80s
