I feel my age creeping in. I will be 63 on my next birthday. I have retired early from my full time job, when I was 57 years old. That was five years ago. Right after retirement, I enrolled in a course that took a year to complete. Then I did volunteer work for a year before accepting a full time job again. I'm back volunteering and on a part time job as a full time job gets in a way of my travel objectives. Nowadays, I feel disoriented sometimes, I'm not as focused and lack concentration. I think that it's part of the ageing process. Sometimes I get impatient and annoyed, but most of the time I try to be mindful and take more time to finish things as I've accepted that I am slower now than before. Ahh... old age, it's creeping in. Are you worried about your age getting on and what you might have to deal with?

I do not think it's old age! Over here, many old people are very active. I know of one old woman who looks like a person in her 50s, and she can still run for half an hour continuously in the stadium. She is nearly 80 years old. I think you have to look into your diet. Many retirees have this problem of not eating at regular hours, and not eating proper meals. Perhaps you can go for an executive medical checkup to see if any underlying condition is causing problem. Sometimes the onset of diabetes is causing the problem.

I have been to my doctor and all blood works are OK. I just have a fracture that's still healing, which probably is making me feel down.

I am 3 years older, I am slowing down, but my memory is still excellent and for the moment I can still do everything I did when I was younger. Until my brain and my body are healthy I can accept to be a little slower.

@Lupita234 Well to exercise when you are over 65 is not something everybody can do.

Yes, we have to keep our brains and body healthy. We attempt all things and we surely identify activities that we cant do anymore. Acceptance is important for our mental health and looking for activities that suit our current capacity.

It could be your lifestyle that causes you to get distracted. If there is anything that occupies your mind this can happen.

We have to accept that old age will catch up with us. At 58, I still can walk as fast as before. Though sometimes while walking , I notice that I am slowing that. And when that happens, I walk faster, to defy it. Though I easily get tired already . Cleaning our bedroom can already tire me in a little time.

We do feel that way. We listen to what our body tells us.

With the right diet, you can look and feel twenty years or more younger than your age.

I believe so too. I have changed my diet now, more fruits and vegetables and less of meat.
