I'm Over Worked

I found this photo on pixabay of a really hard working person in India. I found this information in one of my notebooks from the year 2000. I don’t know who originally wrote it but I thought it was worth sharing. “I’ve been blaming it on lack of sleep and too much pressure from my job. But, now I found out the real reason that I’m so tired is because I’m overworked." This is how HE figured it out: The population of this country (USA) is 260 million and 114 million are retired. That leaves 146 million to do the work. There are 93 million in school, which leaves 53 million to do the work. Of this there are 33 million employed by the federal government, leaving 20 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the military, which leaves 17.2 million to do the work. Take from that total 16,200,000 people who work for State and City governments and that leaves 1 million to do the work. At any given time there are 206,000 people in hospitals, leaving 794,000 to do the work. Now there are 793,998 people in prison. That leaves two people to do the work. YOU and ME! And you’re sitting at your computer reading this.”

My hard working days are over for the most part. I fit into the retired category. But, I have worked all my life. Even as a teenager, I babysat and cleaned houses. Then I worked as a telephone operator and a private duty nurse. I also worked at many other jobs and then, later, I got into sales.

Haha! That's very funny. You can make statistics say anything can't you?
