Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: summer, vacation, fun, sun, adventure
Mine is as follows:
Schools out for summer,
At least on this side of the world.
Maybe for you that’s a bummer,
But my gladness has curled!
I get to sleep in the sunshine,
And nap under both cloud and moon,
Plus some time for fun will be just fine,
Because summer always ends too soon.
Adventure now calls us to travel,
Across the country of ours.
Fun and things to see to unravel,
As time to leave for vacation is mere hours.

Summer breezes glint from Canada geese beaks
vacationing to them a cool water slap
thinking on this fun for my rotating brain cells,
my eyes shading from the sun,
I peer toward their avian adventure,
glad for the respite from weed yanking.
