When the Sun Goes Down -
Some critters see that it is time for sleep. Others wake up. One critter does one thing. Another critter does something else.
Well, I personally get sleepy, but when the scene gets to looking pretty, as is often the case, I begin to look around and maybe even begin to reawaken - at least a little bit.
This evening, the top of the tall pine tree near the fence line was attempting to change from its ordinary green color and to gain a golden crown. It surely was a pretty thing to see.
I did not see any deer come up to the back fence to get some of the corn we set out for them. They came in the night to follow, but the deer were there again in the morning light. The problem with that was that I was still sound asleep. My bride, that early-rising female, was up to greet them.
There was one corn cob left after the visit by the deer.
Next time maybe I will be awake enough to snap a photo for you to see our visitors for yourself. In the meantime, enjoy our tall pine tree - the one with the desire to wear a golden crown.

Lovely pine tree Gus.
I hope you had a good rest.
You can't be awake for everything.
So good of you to care for the wildlife.

@TiarasOceanView - Well, the sun went down and it got really dark - and back came our pretty deer friend for some of that corn. It was not possible to snap a photo of the critter worth looking at (the photo, that is) but if you look closely you will see it. The deer is liking that corn, so maybe it will return when the light is sufficient to grab a decent photo of the thing as it tries for more corn from the bucket that "grandson-in-law" hung from the fence.

@TiarasOceanView - Although this area is called "Grand Oaks," the forests here are mostly pine trees. We do like the wildlife. I even like my bride lady. -Gus-

@bunnybon7 - Ms Brandy - The deer in the forest behind our home are rich in their friends who live here. I really do want you to believe that, beyond our friendship, those deer have ample shelter in their trees and in their meadows - and no hunting to worry them.
Also, I am happy that you enjoyed the sight of that glowing pine tree crown. -Gus-

@Ceerios glad there are no hunters to get to them. i lived a few years back where i got to see them a few times in their glory but felt bad that there were lots of hunters out there to get these lovely animals

@garymarsh6 - Brother Gary - It is good to learn that you enjoyed seeing the same view of that sunset-time pine tree that I was able to enjoy on-site. -Gus-
