CNN Fires Kathy Griffin

As I feared, the verbal violence in America' s political culture is leading to physical violence. Kathy Griffin displayed the most obnoxious verbal violence we have seen in a long.time as she joked about beheading President Trump. She held a replica of a bloody head of President Trump and CNN wisely fired her. In Montana, the Congressional run off election led to violence as the winning candidate allegedly body slammed a reporter. In the Texas legislature, a heated debate on immigration led to violence. What can we do take the emotional ideology and name calling out of our politics, and restore a rational discussion about public policy? Is it too late? Will American Democracy survive? What do you think?

The worse the media coverage, the more violence will continue and escalate. Griffin was incredibly out of bounds and deserves to be fired. She's absolutely disgusting.

I think that someone worked very hard for the past 8 years to divide us along all lines--racial, economic, social, and political. It worked. We will have to work just as hard to defeat the hate as they did to build it. Griffin had every right to do what she did but only succeeded in showing her complete lack of class. I knew a lady once that had a word for folks like Ms. Griffin--white trash. The president's youngest child was traumatized by her action but she didn't think of that because her kind doesn't care. We are in a civil war. Not as bloody right now as the one that divided the north and the south but I can see it coming unless we refuse to participate.

She's not even funny. A third-rate comedian whom I only knew about, a CNN, from Fox News. She's now playing pathetic victimhood. I hope her temporary fame in the news will be over soon.
