A new day, a new month

Ruby usually is quiet in the mornings until she hears me moving around. There are days, however, when she really wants to eat earlier. She doesn't 'bug' me, she bugs my husband.
When I hear, "What do you want pesty pooch?" I know that's my cue. Of course my husband says it loud enough for me to hear!
So that explains why I was sending e-mails at 5:30 this morning! I sat here at the computer staring at the sun coming up over the mountains, the sky was bright red behind the peaks. Now the sky is beginning to show some blue. It should be another beautiful day in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The weather has really been perfect!

I am not sure, but from the decor I would guess the 80's.

@AbbyGreenhill We have the habit here to those narrow street, the worst is when you meet a bus.

@LadyDuck A bus would never be able to maneuver the hairpin turns on this road. Our SUV is almost to big to do it.

He talks very loud to her LOL..I know his game plan. Thanks,yes it is a very nice spot for sure. The ride up and down the mountain is like a thrill ride and it takes some getting used to. Luckily so far we have not come across a car coming the other direction there is just enough room for one car but not for two.

Looks like you have a beautiful place for a getaway. I don't know if I can get a trip this summer. It would be nice to go somewhere for a week or two. But not practical right now. One of my old friends ,may be coming up sometime in the next few months, though. So the two of us can take some day trips and just plain hang out and enjoy eachother's company.

Yes, we lucked out - and it should be nice when we get home, at least fro two days. Which is good since the grass will need to be mowed!

We are fans of the Smoky Montains but the Blue Ridge are very nice - but none as tall as your mountains I'm sure.
