It just popped up in my mind to look for tutorial videos in Korean. Luckily, I found one which was made by a Filipina like me. I can understand it more and right now, I am saving her video on my phone so I can watch it wherever I am. It is my goal to learn even basic Korean so I can talk Korean to my boyfriend on his next visit. Please pray for my success. Are you also aiming badly for a particular goal?

That's good for you. My dad has a friend and his wife is very interested in watching Korean TV series. As time goes by, she has learned some Koreans. That's very surprising. Perhaps you can also try to watch some Korean TV series or movies in your spare time and it will make your Korean improved.

@annierose Of course she watches it with Chinese subtitle. But somewhat she can learn it step by step.

@youless Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, I have tried it before. But what I watched are those Korean movies with subtitles in English. Did she just watch a Korean movie with no subtitles at all?

Learning a foreign language is a good skill to acquire. I believe you will be successful because you have the motivation to fuel your interest. Your boyfriend will be impress that you took the time to learn his native language. It shows that you care about him.

@annierose _Going on for almost 4 years means it's serious. "Better late than never" to learn the Korean language. It will come in handy. Good luck.
