The perfect cup of coffee..do you measure or wing it?

I was really impressed with the coffee I made yesterday. It tasted just like DunknDonuts. Of course I couldn't replicate it if I wanted to, as I just kind of eyeball the amount of coffee I put in. I try to put in a moderate amount it might be about a scoop and a half. It seems like most people have a certain amount of coffee they put in, and can tell you exactly what it is..do you measure for the "perfect cup" or eyeball it?

I make it easy on myself. I use K cups. My husband makes great coffee in the other coffee makers and he measures.

I used to use those Kcups, with a Keurig but they just weren't practical for me. I like drinking two or three cups at a time, also, I know some have a carafe..but I would just rather make a pot of coffee. Besides, buying those K cups is expensive, and if you put regular coffee in it it is always a mess..No Thanks!

@snowy22315 It works for me. Actually, my husband just picked up more K cups at Costco today.

@DianneN I think they are most likely cheaper on Amazon. That is one of their best sellers.

Personally, I am not much of a coffee person, but when I do, I am not a Strong coffee type person, but yet at the same time, do not appreciate weak coffee either.

I find medium strength to be the best. Too strong or too weak, does not float my boat.

Right, it's hard to make it the exact same way every time.

I don't have to measure because mine are k-cups for my keurig. Glad to hear you had the perfect cup of coffee sometimes it is hard to do that and you are so right about being able to do it the same way again because it is higly doubtful you could get it the same exact way again.

@Tina30219 Yeah, I don't tend to measure. I guess I could start but knowing me, I probably won't, even if I wanted to, I would forget to.

@snowy22315 I hate that when that happens. When you do it do you eyeball it everytime?

Well, I have French Roast Coffee, no name brand nothing fancy, and the equivalent of maybe a scoop and a half of coffee..and about 6 cups in the pot I never drink it all.

I eyeball the quantity of coffee I put in the container. Not very smart of me as my coffee never tastes the same.
