you're so unpredictable

You, kind Sir, are a fickle being.
I watch you closely wondering what your next move will be, anxiously waiting to see whether you are happy or angry, or maybe even sad. Your mood brings joy to many, but you are capable also of causing much pain and sorrow.
Occasionally, the two sides of your personality - the Good and the Not-so Good - stand in conflict with each other, neither wanting to be the first to back down. Both sides are able to take dominance or reveal chinks in the unpredictability of your ways; a smidgeon of sunlight poking through an otherwise grey stormy sky, or a tiny white fluffy cloud merrily sailing in a bright blue sky.
Your mood swings are frequent, your outbursts often sudden, violent and humiliating. You blow hot and cold, hot and cold, until the folk around you are not sure if they are coming or going, coming or going. You are a whirlwind of mixed emotions.
But I love you for your unpredictability and your devilish personality. I love that you bring so much excitement and beauty to my world. Just this moment I have marvelled at ripples blowing through grassy fields, sunlight streaming from a fairly clear sky, turbines collecting wind and the promise of joy and happiness. Just yesterday I danced under my umbrella, shivering in my not-quite-summer but not-quite-winter clothing, as the heavens opened and the rain cascaded heavily, creating puddles for jumping in. Later? Who knows. I doubt that even you know. Less wind would be nice, if you can manage that. And if you give rain, can it be just a shower and not yesterday's cruelly cold drizzle interspersed with huge wet drops of torrential rain?
I didn't bring my umbrella, you see.

Always. Stupid Weather. I do have a jacket with a hood, so if he brings forth rain, I'll be fine!

@Poppylicious Reminds me, St. Swithin's day can't be too far away... Any bets as to which way it will go?

@pgntwo For some reason I thought the forty days of rain superstition was connected to Whitsun. Now I feel a bit dumb. Nobody told me it was actually associated with St Swithun... it's not till the middle of July!? {It will fall on the Good side!}

@crazyhorseladycx Well, maybe you could just send a little this way. I don't want to be too hot!

It's bonkers, isn't it?? It was so hot last week and it's been like February or March this week. Nearly cold enough to pop the heating on for a while!

Ah, good. I'm glad that other parts of Europe are finding the weather to be unpredictable too! I don't think it would surprise me if it snowed tomorrow! :)

I didn't care about the weather until a year ago.
Now I have my own place when it is cold I know the gas bill is going to go up when I turn the heating on...when it is hot I like to take 3 showers a day so the gas bill goes up
Trying to be less fat and walk to work every day gets messed up when it is pouring as it is too easy to get in the car...then the diesel bill goes up
Weather costs me a lot of money one way or the other

I'm really stingy with the heating. It doesn't come on until at least October and it goes off before April!
