a song in my head

I woke up this morning with a song fluttering through my head. One hour on and it's still there. It's frustrating me as I don't know all the words, so when my inner-voice/mind/whatever sings it, it stumbles and pretends. This is humiliating, even though I am the only soul who knows. Except, now you know too. And the song is The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, if you were curious. I am hoping the song won't feel the need to hang around all day. I have thoughts rapidly expanding, attempting to drown it out, but it's still there, in the background. I can hear it. It mocks me. Stupid song.

It's a really stupid song. I woke up with a tune in my head, I do not remember the words, I cannot remember the singer. It's driving me crazy.

@Poppylicious No, it's a song I am sure I heard when I was a little girl. I will try to sing the tune to my Mom, may be she remembers.

Maybe it's a song you've made up. Perhaps one day it will be a bestseller!

My mind is weird. Shortly after I wrote the post I lost the song from my head, and it just popped by to say hello! sporadically throughout the day. Writing must be cathartic for me. :)

It doesn't happen to me often. I suppose I should be grateful for that!

I have always heard people say if you have an ear worm listen to what is stuck in your head and it will go away.

I couldn't help but listen! Writing about it seemed to help it go on its way. :)
