Volume One - New Technology Concepts - by Anthony Davis My best friend told me, "Anthony, if you thought of it and it's new to you, chances are the exact same idea has already been thought of, put to use and patented by several others, long before you even gave it a thought yourself." When you are shredding documents, do you sometimes wish you had backups of them first, just in case you destroy the hard copy of some that might be needed in the future for legal reasons or because you accidentally shredded a copy of your deed of trust because you were in a hurry and just realized it was TOO LATE? My idea is simple: Please note that this idea is not original because even though I thought of it on my own, the idea has already been thought of by another person, and patented. Great minds think alike. That's all I wanted to add. MAKE A COMBO SCANNER-SHREDDER to first scan a document before it is destroyed by a paper shredder so that you might keep a digital copy of all records that could be easily saved in encrypted form, to be used as evidence or reference or just in case you accidentally destroyed an original. I like this idea, but it may not be original. Just so I can be sure, I will do a Google search on this topic to see if they already came up with this exact same idea already. But remember, I thought of it on my own and it would be merely a coincidence if it turns out somebody else already thought of this idea and has implemented it: My search results below from a Google Search for key words: COMBO-SCANNER-DOCUMENT SHREDDER. Hmm. Interesting. So another very smart person has already thought of this and put a patent on it. Great. It must be a very good idea to have been patented. I can not take credit for the idea in part or in whole, but yet, I am pleased that I thought of it on my own, just by taking time to think about it and that is what thinking can do. Many times you and others have had ideas that you thought, "Why bother? it is most likely already made by someone else long before I thought of it, or if the idea has not been yet put to paper by another person along the same line of thinking I gave it, it is probably just a bad idea to begin with." But no. You might think of an idea, and that idea may be actually a great one. Not everybody puts their ideas or inventions to paper or even bothers to put a patent on them. One day you or I will come up with the first idea of it's kind and get it patented and be one of those who got rich just by taking the proper steps to get a fresh new idea to paper and be the first to do so. There are many new possibilities. Give your ideas some thought, and look into getting a patent. If the idea is the first of it's kind and it sounds logical it may be your ticket to fame and fortune and making the world a better place for all.
