Slack--The New Facebook for Offices

United States

If you think Facebook is problematic, take a gander at Slack. It is supposed to organize people and make for better communication. It can do that, but just like Facebook, it can become addictive, gossipy, etc. It's not the set up that is the problem, it is human nature.
Slack brings all your communication together in one place. It’s real-time messaging, archiving and search for modern teams.

It's probably supposed to be funny but can I just point out the irony in that name? Slack: where work happens. Right.

That is funny! Yet, I think the people who created it meant that it will help to get more work done effectively. So far, a lot of people are not seeing it that way.

@MsBooklover I haven't looked over the reviews but from what you say, apparently, some users are finding that it makes them slack more than work more? Hehe. Well then, the creators can say the site lives up to its name either way. Hahaha.

@moirai Yes, and I am very surprised that they name it that.

I first heard about Slack from Synereo.com and created account last year but I am not active.

At this time, I don't work in an office. Thus, it probably would not do me any good.
