I have no patience to read long posts and so go past them. But I see so many commenting on those posts. How do they do it. Do they read the whole thing or quckly glance through and risk a comment. What is the best way to read a long post.

I don´t separate posts according to their length. If it is interesting, I read it. And answer it.

I think the art of speed reading could come in handy.

I read anything I find interesting be it long or short. The only thing about long posts is that they're difficult to read when the starter doesn't properly use paragraphs. Often, in a long post, there are several points to comment on and it is best if those points are in individual paragraphs so when you're making a well thought out response to all the points you write paragraph by paragraph. I do sometimes skip posts where it is just a massive block of text as it is too hard to read.

Text without paras could quite clog one's brain

I'd read them all. That's because I might miss some vital information if I didn't.

I would only read a long post if the subject appealed to me, otherwise I would simply move on.

I read them and then go over them again if needs be as you can always miss something. Some posts longish ones are interesting. Its the way they are trying to express what they are trying to say to everyone so I do stop and try and see what is cooking.

@allknowing Generally anyone I am interested in. If they are about football they are bit harder for me to respond to as I don´t know all the foorballers. Same as I don´t know about Cricket.

Piecemeal, usually. Dip in, add a bit, run away ;)

I read long posts as long as they are interesting to me. I even read the comments of the others.

If it's too long and I can't think straight at that time, I will go to another post then get back to that post again once my concentration is back, and longer... And yes, I like short post than long post...

@atoz1to10 The short ones are normally reported as they go against rules.

I read and comment on anything I find interesting. The length isn't important to me.

I tend to get bored reading a long post. One thing that helps is when it's broken into paragraphs.

I will read and comment only if the topic interests me. If not, I move along. Time is of the essence for me.
