I have a date!

With my husband, that is. We have some friends coming for the weekend and tonight we're meeting some other friends at a local steak house to celebrate their grandson's high school graduation.
It's always fun getting together, although this couple lives about three hours away. They're staying the night with us and we plan to go out for a nice breakfast before they head back home.
I've been cleaning house (you know how it is when company's coming...lots of extra things to tend to!) I haven't had to do any cooking, though, since we'll eat out tonight and in the morning. I usually bake my friend a pecan pie...that's his favorite.

The most cleaning we do when company is coming, is spray air freshener. And that only because of the cat litter smell.

One couple lives 3 hours away and the other couple lives 5 hours away. We see the first ones every month or so, but the ones who live 5 hours away, we haven't seen in about 30 years!
