Every year about this time, well maybe a little earlier, we are visited by a pair of Sandhill Cranes. They walk around, talk to each other, flap their wings, and do a little dance for all of us living on this street. They provide entertainment for us as they dance down the street. We wait for them to arrive every year and were a little concerned when they didn't show up in May. Well, they are here now and we are loving to watch them as they perform their little antics. We have all decided on the name Frick and Frack, it just seemed to fit them. Actually we are sure it's the same ones each year but they look enough alike that we can pretend we have our own personal visiting Sandhill Cranes.

They loo so graceful flying and so clumsy when waling or dancing down the street. I thought the names fit them.

I believe that their dance is a mating dance. I don't know for sure but I believe they are trying to entice each other.
