I just read an article on MSN about a family who ended up with more than they bargained for. Did it upset them? Not a bit. They took it all in stride and were thrilled. After years of trying to conceive a baby they were told that it would most likely never happen. So, they decided to go the adoption route. Coping with all of the red tape involved they began to wonder if they would ever be parents. Until, one day they received a call asking if they would be open to adopting a set of triplets. Of course they said yes. The triplet were born early and ended up in the hospital for about three months. The week before they were to bring the babies home the adoptive mother went to the doctor because she felt unwell. Guess what. She wasn't sick, she was pregnant. Not just pregnant but pregnant with twins. They soon had a houseful of babies - 5 of them under the age of 1 year old. Within a year she found out that she was pregnant once again. This time she was having one baby. Did it stress them? No. They are happily enjoying their very busy life with their 6 little ones. Would you be able to handle all of this?

@rebelann they adopted the t4riples then she found out she was pregnant with twins. I think the last baby was what they call an OOPS. I would thin that that is plenty of children.

Oh my goodness @HazySue , I would not be able to handle it. Though they do say that you don't know what you are capable of until you are in the situation. But, I am happy they are happy.

@HazySue I've never had children, So I truly don't know how any new Mum copes. I think raising children is such a massive responsibility and I take my hat off to parents.

I had three children within 4 years and know how hectic that was. I cannot even image being in their shoes.

@bluesa It is a very big responsibility. Unfortunately there are some people out there who typically shirk their responsibilities. I think these children are lucky to have the parents they have.

No, and I never wanted kids that badly. Glad these people were able to cope.

@HazySue .......Yes, it is. I remember when I was very young I wanted a child to show our love between my husband at the time and I. I was a worse romantic then than I am now.

Some people are just meant to be parents and some are not. It's all a matter of choice.

I guess we can't. One or two would be okay for me, but 5 babies is too many to handle for us. Good thing they are well off and can afford to raise them all.

I'm sure they received a lot of help. If not, I think we would be hearing about them going into the loony bin.

This would be something definitely taking some getting used too. Back when I was younger if I would have been ready financially at times this would have been nice. This would be a lot to take care of at one time without having some extra help around all the time though.

I would need the extra help. I had three babies within 5 years and I thought that was hard. I don't know what I would have done with this many.

Wow! That's a lot of blessings in a short amount of time. I have a lot of patience but I'm not sure I could handle so many babies at once.

It would be worth it for sure if you could survive the terrible twos.

Wow that's a lot to handle but I'm sure those people are thrilled with all those babies (even though they are all so close in age). I had four children so six probably wouldn't have been that much harder but at least mine were a few years apart in age when they arrived

I think that if they are so close in age as they are it is so much harder. I have three and would have had more if I could have. But they would have to be spacedl
