A bomb went off....

United States
June 14, 2017 10:45am CST
....in my house!!! Well, not a real bomb of course or I would not be here typing this LOL! The bomb was my husband and I moving things. Tomorrow the carpet guys will be here and we will get wall-to-wall in the master bedroom, hall and living room. We have unloaded the bookcase and corner cabinet and moved some other items - all into the kitchen! While the living room is looking naked the kitchen is looking life a scene from a horror film! The carpet guys will move the big furniture, thank goodness, but we have to move the other small items. Since the kitchen is in a turmoil, looks like a good excuse to eat out! Of course its not really 'that' bad but what the heck! Photo is mine.

Lovely room. I like that wood. Eating out? Nice. We did yesterday because my daughter wasn't feeling good. She is the cook here.

Thanks - wood is good but a little too much of it for my liking!

@celticeagle I didn't pick this wood - the prev. owners did, but its not the whole house - guest rooms/ guest bath, laundry, office, 1/2 bath are all regular sheet rock. The wall to wall in living and bedroom will break up much of the wood!

This is surely a good excuse to eat out, after all the moving you deserve to sit down and to rest.

This is a regular house but they did most of the interior like a lob cabin. At least we can put a nail anyplace and not worry!

@TiarasOceanView It's a little too much wood considering the house is a traditional brick home!

Hey any excuse to eat out is welcome as far as I'm concerned. It will be nice having all that new carpet even though it's creating a mess right now

Ruby has done a number of the wood floors so the carpet will hide some at least. And there is enough/more than enough wood in this house!

@AbbyGreenhill I see that. It does have a couple things hanging on the wall and there's a cute chair on the fireplace.
