Getting a trim.

Our mango tree in front of our house has so many leaves that are unruly because they grow out from the round shape of its crown. The last time this was trimmed was before the Lawin typhoon last October.
Our mango tree is trimmed like a big bonsai. Other neighbours and passersby would appreciate how the tree looks like.
Manuel, our neighbour, is the one trimming the tree. He is up in the tree when I took the picture.
The trimming is not yet finished because it is so hot again; possibly it will be done later in the afternoon.

not anymore. just a few flowers and then the flowers get burned with too much sun.

@allen0187 when we were still kids, we would chew the fresh and newly opened leaves, the young leaves, and surely it tasted like the mango fruit.

no, what i mean is, the shape of the tree, after trimmed, is like a bonsai, and other people would look up on the crown of the tree because it appears like a big bonsai

Your mango tree will be happy because of the trim. Tree needs that.

yes, just like us who need to have our crowning glory get a trim when the hair gets thick and unruly.

the mango tree provides shade and fresh air, but the branches and leaves need to be trimmed down because they touch the electric wires when the wind blows; it might create fire if the wires get tangled and break.

@ridingbet Oh yes it is very difficult to work when it is hot. There are also risks of heat strokes

I was more impressed with your drip irrigation system in your pots. Are they bought or you made them

the downside is, the house sparrows do not have shelter to build their nests.

is that man your neighbor? there are those people who are transient 'boarders' in our community, who seek work, then leave without a trace.

@LadyDuck 38? that is like our temperature here now. with that temperature, some elders may be having heat exhaustion already.

the mango tree picture is cropped, my friend, so it can be placed here. yes,Manuel is a neighbor who does the trimming of the tree and our garden when the weeds get unruly.

Indian mango. our carabao mango was uprooted because a very tall truck had its top tangled with the leaves of our mango tree, so down, it fell.

ps. Funny we both started discussion at the same time. Great minds think alike.
